I can get used to Portuguese living. I think it suits me pretty well. Even though the weather is quite rainy these days, I’m enjoying every second living here. I have learned the language a bit in Brasil. My brother currently lives in São Paulo together with his woman, whom I only speak Portuguese with. I love learning the language further here in Portugal. It doesn’t come easy for me, and don’t expect me to come up with a story, but I do love the language and I can’t get enough of the strange, but beautiful sounds. I’m constantly yelling out Portuguese words to my Dutch friend (who is automatically learning the language too now).
Some of my favorite Portuguese words:
Que está perto daqui?
(is it close to here?)
Fala Portuguese ou não?
(do you speak Portuguese or not)
(slut, but in Brazil)
Tem gelado quente aqui?
(Do you have hot ice cream here? A little joke. I know- bad humor)
Tchau. Até logo meninos!
