Me and my friend spent several days on Nusa Lembongan, a little island located southeast of Bali. Tigerlillys was one of the places we stayed at. I found the island to be quite messy, which definitely has its own charm, but Tigerlillys is a true paradise. It’s full of tropical plants, has several wooden bungalows, pink flowers, a stunning turquoise-colored pool and (the thing my eyes were most happy with) a restaurant with the most amazing interior! I was so in love with the little corner on the fifth photo. Retro designed furniture, a concrete look wall and some bohemian interior details. Like, like, like!
One of the most remarkable things was the personalized service. We got a little bored after spending a few days on Lembongan, but Caroline showed us there were still enough things for us to do. And she was right. She arranged a snorkeling trip for us that afternoon. A trip to never-ever forget. I guess I could write a separate article on the suuuper pretty corals and fishes. Anyway, while we believed we’d basically seen everything on the island already, we discovered some new cool bars and restaurants with the help Caroline. I’m likely to figure out everything myself, but no doubt we had another exciting day on Lembongan because of her.
I found it special to hear that Tigerlillys is not only the peacock of Lembongan, but also has a meaningful role at the island. They give local children the opportunity to work at the resort, and help them leaning English and to calculate. They also replaced nearly all plastic by glass and steel bottles, and encourage the visitors to do the same.
Last but not least, they also have a boutique shop with artistic cushion covers, jewellery, water bottles and key rings. A little shop to sniff around while waiting for your excursion.
